Year 13 8AUT – Automotive (NCEA L3)
Course Option Description
Head of Learning Area (HOLA): Ms G. Small.
Why this course:
- Applied learning.
- Career focussed.
- Gain industry qualifications, knowledge and skills as preparation for securing an Apprenticeship or place in a pre-trades course at Polytech.
Due to resourcing constraints we will be unable to run Automotive as an option at WHS in 2025. We have been working on resolving this and unfortunately have had to make the decision to remove this option.
Students with a strong interest in the Automotive industry should contact Linda Richards, our Head of Careers to discuss the possibility of the trades program through Otago Polytechnic which offers Automotive (8ACA).
Prerequisites
Completion of the 7AUT course or Year 12 Automotive course run by SIT is required for entry into 8AUT to enable students to have access for the Level 3 standards of this course. Entry is at the discretion of the HoLA.
